MAYOWA SAMUEL × MINT GALLERY
Project Title: In Situ — Spatial Studies
Partner: Mint Gallery
Location: Marylebone, London
Category: Spatial Installation

Project Overview
A spatial study exploring the core brand triad — Scent, Emotion, and Atmosphere — set within Mint Gallery’s Marylebone showroom.
Known for its pioneering curation of contemporary craft, avant-garde furniture, and sculptural ceramics, Mint provided an architectural landscape to examine how pure botanical formulations interact with elevated interior surfaces, ambient daylight, and spatial volume.
Spatial Execution & Touchpoints
Rather than treating fragrance as a decorative accent, the installation demonstrated how deliberate scale, placement, and vessel design establish a seamless sensory environment throughout a physical space:
- Spatial Anchoring (Large Refill Decanter):Positioned prominently on the main gallery console, our large-format glass refill decanter functioned as the visual and sensory anchor of the room—a bold, architectural statement celebrating longevity and the intentional ritual of replenishment.
- Atmospheric Flow (Spatial Vessels):Smaller glass diffuser vessels were strategically positioned across key micro-environments—window bays, display alcoves, and side tables. Through careful, considerate placement, these compact vessels extended the fragrance profile across the showroom, creating an unbroken flow of ambience that carried visitors through each room.
- Formulation Pairing:Curated integration of our core botanical formulations (Something for Sade to Write To, Floral Corridors, and Less Stress More Zest), paired alongside sculpted stone plinths, raw ceramics, and natural timber forms.
